George A. Goodman, b. 1828 Albemarle County, Virginia; graduated Virginia Military Institute, Class of 1852; teacher, farmer; during Civil War served as Lt. Col., 13th Virginia Infantry Regiment; prisoner at Ft. Delaware, September 1864-July 1865; d. 1884, Louisa County, Virginia.
