The collection includes transcripts of two oral history interviews. The first interview was conducted by J. Addison Hagan on January 20, 1967, concerning the Inchon Operation during the Korean War. The second interview was conducted by Captain Thomas F. Fergusson in March 1975. Other items include photographs and documents.

Biographical / Historical

Edward Mallory Almond was born on December 12, 1892 in Luray, Virginia. He graduated VMI in 1915. He was a lieutenant general in the U.S. Army and a member of the VMI Board of Visitors. He died on June 11, 1979 in Anniston, Alabama, and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
