This collection consists of one original charcoal sketch (circa 1908) by Frank A. Fickes, published in the 1911 VMI yearbook. The sketch features a skull, snakes, and ghost, symbols of "TKL" a cadet secret society.

Biographical / Historical

Frank Akin Fickes was born in 1888 in Steubenville, Ohio. He graduated VMI in 1908 and went on to become a chemist. He died in 1952 in St. Louis, Illinois.
