John T. Norton Civil War letter

One Civil War letter written by Union soldier John T. Norton (lieutenant, 97th Regiment New York State Volunteers) to his father, Morgan Norton of Norway, New York. The letter is dated May 23rd, 1863. Norton discusses the Battle of Chancellorsville and mentions the death of Stonewall Jackson, referring to him as"the bravest of the brave."
