Biographical / Historical

Cabell Brand (VMI Class of 1944) is a noted philanthropist and entrepreneur who is particularly interested in Civil Rights and poverty issues. He has been instrumental in funding projects which honor Jonathan Daniels, the 1961 VMI graduate and Civil Rights worker who was killed in Alabama in 1965.
