Scope and Contents Love letter, December 1860, written by a Cadet named "Willie" to his cousin Mary. It and largely concerns their relationship. There is a brief mention of cleaning up his Barracks room for inspection; and of guard duty.

Scope and Contents A collection of letters [57 items] written by Cadet Thomas Boisseau Booth to his future wife, Agnes S. Lyon of Petersburg, Virginia. All of the letters were written from VMI, where Booth was a cadet from 1855-1858, and contain largely personal news; there are occasional references to VMI news. These are essentially letters documenting the courtship of Booth and Lyon.

William B. Cochran personal correspondence, 1903-1904; and 1926-1930

Scope and Contents This series includes love letters, ca. 1903-1904 written by William Cochran to his future wife, Mathilde Kessler. Cochran was stationed at Ft. Harrison near Helena, Montana.

Also included are letters written to Marion Lee Cochran written, William Cochran's daughter. The bulk are from William written while Marion was visiting friends in North Carolina in 1930; also two letters from her mother (1926 and 1928) and one from her brotheriting friends in Charlotte, NC. (1929).
