Frank R. Pancake papers
Miscellaneous personal papers, including photographs and English class essays dating from his VMI cadetship (1934-1938); personal letters (bulk to his parents), mementos and photographs dating from Pancake's assignment to SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) in the late 1950's; clippings from his time as VMI Commandant.

Spencer L. Carter Collection
Scope and Contents The Spencer L. Carter Collection contains two items dating from Carter's Virginia Military Institute cadetship. Included is a notebook (binding missing) compiled by Carter, concerning VMI football and baseball. It includes lists of teams, game scores, and plays. The collection also contains an annotated copy of "The VMI Scrapbook," a compilation of cadet poetry and prose published in 1891. Carter added notes concerning the VMI Class of 1893, cadet officers, and Kappa Alpha Fraternity members.
Thornton Terry collection
Scope and Contents The collection consists of a four page handwritten and illustrated VMI cadet "newspaper" called "The Sunday Pie" published on April 18, 1887 by the occupants of Barracks Room 32. Thornton Terry was one of the editors.
